The City Lounge is a modern, modular system of development of public space. It consists of innovative elements of street furniture, characterized by functionality and original design. The main objective of the project is the modularity, which gives the possibility of unlimited arranging of every public space.

History...

The City Lounge project was created with the aim of revitalizing the Market Square of Kielce. Its overriding idea was to introduce elements of urban greenery to the space previously devoid of vegetation, as well as to design place friendly for residents of the city. A place for them to meet, get in touch with each other and to rest. Conducting special public consultations allowed us to fit the general expectations of inhabitants to more specific plans. As a result, we created modern space for public use, based on a compilation of greenery and modern technology of street architecture.

Features...

The key role of The City Lounge is integration of the inhabitants of the city in a modern space, that is open to contact with nature - hence design of all elements of The City Lounge is connected directly with varied vegetation. Planters, apart from their decorative function, „organize” the trees and give possibility to attach to them armchairs and other elements of The City Lounge. Arrangement of street furniture gives a chance for close, but not pushy contact with other users, as well as for relaxation, fun and communing with nature in the central part of the city, once inaccessible to the vegetation.

Functionality...

The City Lounge has undeniably functional design. What is important, project can easily change its position. Planters have special hidden spaces in the size of the euro-palettes, that allow to insert the forklift or pallet truck, which gives possibility to move the furniture. Transportation of all elements is done by crane/HDS. The inner part of the pots is provided with special anchors stabilizing roots of trees, which can also be used for lifting the entire construction. After setting the planters in the designated location, the outer shell made of stainless steel is lowered, which fully prevents furniture from uncontrolled moving. The City Lounge models require no special foundation, so they can be easily used in any public space.

Versatility...

The City Lounge can be adapted to any public space. In particular, this project is recommended for places totally enclosed, with no possibility to change the structure of its substrate. The City Lounge can be created right from one planter, to the walls of which four other elements of street furniture can be attached. The City Lounge, thanks to its modularity, can be developed almost endlessly. Every season City Lounge can be extended, by adding to it new elements of the street furniture.
