Stainless steel

Material: Stainless steel | ZANO Street Furniture

Stainless steel EN 10088 with the grade number 1.4301 ( American AISI 304SS) is a material with special physical and chemical properties. Its main qualities are:

  • corrosion resistance
  • resistance to high temperatures
  • possibility of application in spaces exposed to strong atmospheric conditions (wind, rain, snow, strong sun)
  • shining gloss and very easy maintenance of the surface

Below are examples of the use of stainless steel together with architectural concrete, standard softwood (European coniferous) and hardwood.

CAUTION:

  • The colour of the furniture may differ in the picture on the monitor from the real colour of the furniture
  • Stainless steel has a very high resistance to external conditions, but it needs to be cared for and maintained like any other material

Corten steel

ZANO Street Furniture: Corten type steel colour

Corten steel - a type of low-alloy steel which, when subjected to suitable processes, acquires a protective layer that looks deceptively like rust. This creates an interesting visual effect combined with good protective properties. However, this is not weather resistance comparable to stainless steel. Corten steel is still susceptible to the effects of water if parts of the steel are not covered with a protective layer. This results in corrosion. We therefore recommend that furniture in corten steel is ordered for indoor or covered use.
